We played the fundraiser for Midtown Farmer's Market, and yall had the energy on lock.
The Midtown farmers Market is a community based farmer's market that supports food, art, access, and harm reduction for Minneapolis.
It's a great cause that we believe in so of course we jumped at the chance to play for their fundraiser - and you, the community, the audience turned it all the way up. We had so much fun performing because of yall.
And if Bennett had been facing the camera for this dope photo; you'd be able to see it on his face.

Family Behind the Scenes
In our infrastructure, every family member has a role to fill for each show. Here's the rundown for Sunday
Cadence handled our promotion and social media
Mattie took care of the wardrobe
Bennett carried most of the cases
Wisdom helped with set up
Michele (mom) helped set up and organize the day
Ed (dad) coordinated all our needs with the venue owners
And Karl (THE GOAT) ran the sound, and kept us on schedule. we were 5 mins late, but still on time (because Karl always has us show up a little early).
Highlights
Best parts of the show HAVE to include:
Cadence hopping out front and having Macy (Midtown Farmer's Market manager) sing "Pocket Lover" with us
The crowd choosing "I'm Every Woman" as the encore (Fantastic choice, although Fast Car Medley would have also been great)
The SOUND! Our Producer Karl Demer is more like a magician. He can engineer any room for good sound. He bounced sound through two rooms and outside into a courtyard, we don't know how he does it but we're glad he does.
We loved seeing people sing the words to our original music. That is one of our most favorite things in the world; and there were so many people who knew the words to almost EVERY SONG! (even the stuff set to release soon)

Murphy's Law
Murphy's Law: What can go wrong, will go wrong.
And on Sunday there were a many things that went wrong
For added context: We had to be there for load in at 7:30 AM, and had to leave from the venue to travel out of state immediately after the show
Cadence: her voice was not in the best physical shape. we came off of a week of recording, and rehearsing and her voice was a little overworked
Mattie: Sleep deprived, and her asthma was acting up
Bennett: His allergies were having a DAY with him, his voice also wasn't in the best shape
We're not sure exactly what was wrong with Wisdom, but as soon as we find out why he's been acting like this for 21 years we'll report back
Everybody had something going on, but we all stepped up and supported each other where needed.
Being able to be flexible on stage where you really need it, is what allows you to always give an audience your best.

The People
People arrived hungry, and enamoured with the art.
They left happy and buzzing, excited about the couple of hours they'd just experienced.
We feel like, we gave the audience our best, and we loved the showcase of the vendors' work. Every single vendor in there showed off amazing, inspiring things. And the Venue was stellar! Diane's Place donated their space. It's a fantastic food spot, named Food & Wine's "Restaurant of the Year" in 2024 and 2025, along with a James Beard nomination!
The community left a huge impression on us, and after all the things that were pulling at us that morning, it felt like it was worth it, because everyone had a great time.
The Takeaway
We were so honored to be asked to play, and so glad that people enjoyed themselves. This year we are gonna continue carrying our best energy, our best attitudes, and our best effort to every opportunity that we have, so every show can feel like this one.
Stay tuned
